Most rooms ideal only for 2ppl.
Over priced for the location and service.
Shower head not working properly.
No ventilation in the toilet at all.
Very early check out time (10:30).
This is a great place to stay for a quiet trip with comfortable rooms in a very scenic region of France. The price is reasonable for the location and the quality of the rooms/service. The owner is very chatty and has many recommendations of what to do around. The rooms are adequately sized. One small negative note was the fact that the bathroom had no ceiling, so it did not feel separated from the room. There is a small swimming pool which is very enjoyable. The location is good for driving around the Gard/Herault departments, as it is roughly 30 minutes away from the Le Vigan in the Cevennes national park. The food from the restaurant was nice, and we were told it was sourced locally. We also tested the white wine, which was not the best in the region.
A pleasant oasis of tranquillity at the end of a small road into the wild. We loved the personal touches and the kind hospitality of domaine de Blancardy! Fred and his wife were very attentive and were always available for advice. The place has a sense of authenticity and the food and wine were honest and delicious. We have spend 2 nights here and would recommend this place to anyone.
The directions to this location by Google Maps from the south and north (D999) are wrong - leading you to either impassable road blocks or locked gates. The hotel does not take any responsibility for these flaws (which they could through local authorities) and instead will scurilously charge you anyway. Beware!
A lovely estate with bad wine and unfriendly staff. We went there twice to buy wine. The first time they didn't open the shop at all. The second time we asked if we could try the wine - we couldn't. Because we drove quite far we decided to buy a few bottles anyway. The three (quite pricy) red wines we bought looked nice but tasted terrible.
This hotel is super cute with a ton of history and character. It's super clean and beautiful. I LOVE this place. And the wine of the property is marvelous...
Couldnt fault our stay. The accommodation, surroundings, gorgeous food in the restaurant were awesome. The maitre d, Andre I think? went the extra mile. Definitely worth a detour to stay here.
And made some purchases of preserves and wine before leaving too
We spent 2 nights at the estate. A very relaxing weekend in a beautiful setting. Very comfortable room. The dinners and breakfasts (made with fresh, local products) are excellent, as are the estate's wines. We were very warmly welcomed. To do again very quickly.
